Because the blossom resembles the head of a rooster (cock), Celosia cristata, a member of the genus Celosia, is frequently referred to as cockscomb. Numerous delicate components were separated from various plant sections. The plant exhibited a variety of pharmacological actions, according to current research. This review discussed Celosia cristata's pharmacological properties and chemical components.
