For Reviewers

Guidelines for Reviewers International Journal of Pharmaceuticals and Health Care Research (IJPHR)

  1. Confidentiality Manuscript Confidentiality Manuscripts under review are strictly confidential. Reviewers must not disclose, discuss, or use manuscript content in any manner prior to its publication, unless explicit permission is provided by the editor.

  2. Objectivity and Constructive Feedback Conducting Objective Reviews Reviews must be objective and provide constructive criticism aimed at helping authors enhance their manuscripts. Personal criticism is inappropriate. Comments should be clearly articulated, accompanied by supporting arguments and relevant references where necessary.

  3. Conflict of Interest Disclosure of Conflicts Reviewers must promptly disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence their evaluation, including financial, institutional, collaborative, or personal relationships with any of the authors. If a conflict exists, reviewers must recuse themselves from the review process.

  4. Timeliness Ensuring Timely Reviews Timely completion of reviews is essential for maintaining journal efficiency. Reviewers should submit their evaluations within the agreed deadline. If unable to meet the deadline or feeling unqualified to review the manuscript, reviewers must promptly notify the editor.

  5. Ethical Considerations Addressing Ethical Concerns Reviewers should be alert to any ethical issues in the manuscripts, such as plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices. Any concerns identified should be immediately reported to the editor for further review.

  6. Evaluation Criteria Criteria for Manuscript Assessment Reviewers should assess manuscripts using the following criteria:

Originality and Relevance: Assess whether the manuscript provides novel, significant insights relevant to pharmaceuticals and healthcare research.

Methodology: Determine whether the research design and methods are appropriate, clearly described, and sufficient for replication.

Data and Results: Evaluate the accuracy and clarity of data presentation, confirm that results support the conclusions, and ensure appropriate statistical methods have been employed.

Conclusions: Ensure conclusions are logical, clearly derived from the results, and adequately address the research objectives.

References: Confirm references are relevant, current, and adequately reflect the pertinent literature.

Presentation: Review manuscript organization, clarity of language, grammatical correctness, and the effective use of tables, figures, and illustrations.

  1. Recommendations Providing Recommendations Reviewers must clearly recommend one of the following decisions based on their evaluation:

• Accept without revision • Accept with minor revisions • Major revisions required • Reject

Clearly justify your recommendation to facilitate informed editorial decision-making.

  1. Anonymity Maintaining Reviewer Anonymity IJPHR adheres to a double-blind peer-review process. Reviewers must avoid including any comments or references that could potentially reveal their identities to the authors.
